Professional Journey: Economics student shares his professional growth at the company where he works.

Balancing professional life and academic pursuits is a major challenge for anyone, and it was no different for Kaiky Dias, an Economics student at ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa.

Currently in his second semester, the aspiring economist faced difficulties balancing his professional life with the start of his university studies about a year ago. Already employed as a Young Apprentice at Unifisa Administradora Nacional de Consórcios, Kaiky decided to invest in his career and began his undergraduate studies in July 2022. 

However, despite high expectations, the student encountered some additional challenges during the first semester with the change in routine, having to balance professional and academic life. 

Faced with this new scenario, Kaiky relied on the assistance of the Career Development Center (CDC), a sector that is part of the Student Support area at ESEG and promotes initiatives that aim not only at academic improvement, but also at welcoming and encouraging the discovery of each student's potential. 

“"Without a doubt, the CDC played a significant role in assisting me on this journey, not only strengthening my intellectual knowledge but also preparing me to face adversity in both the professional and academic fields," the student stated.

Given the uncertainties of balancing her studies with her professional obligations, the conversations and guidance she received through the CDC's initiatives were crucial in enabling her to make appropriate decisions.

Thus, by combining a desire to learn, the humility to understand that learning comes with time, and perseverance, Kaiky managed to balance his tasks and even achieved a permanent position at the company where he works, currently as part of the Sales Administration team. 

According to the student himself, ESEG was a fundamental part of this achievement process, as the college prepares him to face the adversities of the professional world through the experiences and knowledge he acquires in the course.

“ESEG has provided me with the daily opportunity to develop my analytical and critical thinking skills through the study of macroeconomic analysis. Furthermore, the institution has contributed to the improvement of my logical reasoning through daily activities involving calculations and analysis,” the young man shares.

Kaiky's growth is yet another example of how education, combined with actions promoted by the Faculty, are essential for the development of students, both in their academic lives and in their personal and professional lives.
