ESEG conducts a technical visit to the headquarters of Latasa, a leader in aluminum recycling.

On November 9th, Production Engineering students from ESEG visited the headquarters of Latasa, a leading aluminum recycling company in Brazil. The future engineers were able to tour one of the company's foundry plants and learn about the aluminum recycling process, which generated R$ 947 million in 2016, according to data from ABAL (Brazilian Aluminum Association).

Present in 14 states, with 25 branches, the company serves all regions of Brazil and receives more than 200,000 tons of aluminum annually. Selective collection and the savings generated by recycling are thriving fields of work for production engineers. The experience enriches the students' training and brings them closer to the reality of the job market.
