ESEG hosts lecture “The Era of Digital Transformation”

On May 25th, ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa hosted speaker Ana Cabral, a serial entrepreneur and founder of Baruk, a startup that works with data analysis and automation and artificial intelligence (AI). In a very special talk, Ana spoke about "The Era of Digital Transformation," addressing the challenges and opportunities that AI presents for entrepreneurs, managers, and professionals in all fields.

The speaker was at ESEG at the invitation of Professor Paulo Kazuhiro Izumi to share her specialized knowledge and valuable insights. “Ana Cláudia comprehensively explored how digital transformation is shaping businesses and society as a whole. She highlighted the crucial role of artificial intelligence as a powerful tool to drive innovation, increase efficiency, and improve customer experience,” said the professor.

The entrepreneur also highlighted how automating routine tasks allows entrepreneurs to focus on strategic activities, boosting productivity and business competitiveness.

The Administration Coordinator, José Guilherme Campos, and Professor Edgard Rodrigues were also present, accompanying the classes of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation discipline, which involves the courses of Administration, Economics, Production Engineering and Computer Engineering, as well as the Strategic Planning subject, from the Administration course.

Ana Cláudia also discussed the ethical and social implications related to the adoption of AI, emphasizing the importance of considering the impacts on the labor market and the need for a responsible approach when using this disruptive technology.

His presentation sparked important reflections on how artificial intelligence is changing business models, improving production processes, resource management, and socioeconomic dynamics, while also generating new challenges for its development and implementation.

At the end of the presentation, students were encouraged to explore the potential of digital transformation in their projects and careers, developing an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with the ongoing changes.
