Our story

Founded in 2006, ESEG College combines academic excellence, innovation, and a commitment to training professionals prepared to work in an increasingly global, dynamic, and connected world. Part of the Etapa Group, a national leader in education for over 50 years, the College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs that combine solid academic training with a strong connection to the demands of society and the market.

Since its inception, ESEG has believed that higher education should go beyond the transmission of technical knowledge. Its mission is to develop professionals capable of combining critical thinking, ethics, analytical skills, strategic vision, and adaptability to face the challenges of a constantly changing environment.

Academic integrity is one of the pillars of the institution. Since 2007, ESEG has adopted a formal Academic Integrity policy that guides the entire university community through principles such as honesty, respect, responsibility, trust, and commitment to excellence, strengthening a culture based on ethics and responsible development.

Innovation is also part of the Faculty's identity. Attentive to technological transformations and the impacts of Artificial Intelligence on society and professions, ESEG has been investing, since 2018, in research, academic initiatives, and the integration of this theme into its courses, preparing its students to understand and lead the changes that shape the future.

With an international vision, the Faculty maintains partnerships with educational institutions around the world and encourages international academic experiences, promoting student mobility, cooperation between universities, and the development of intercultural skills that broaden the education of its students.

Their portfolio includes courses in the areas of Business, Law, and Engineering. All programs are recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and designed to offer academic rigor, practical training, and alignment with the skills required by an increasingly global job market.
