Continue reading to discover 5 reasons to pursue scientific research at ESEG.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is scientific initiation?<\/h2>\n<p>Scientific initiation is a type of research developed by higher education students during their studies. <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.eseg.edu.br\/graduacao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">graduation<\/a>. This type of research can be applied to different topics in order to find solutions or answers to a question.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to CNPq \u2013 the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development \u2013 some of the specific objectives of scientific initiation are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To awaken scientific vocation and encourage new talent;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>to reduce the average time it takes to obtain master&#039;s and doctoral degrees;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>To encourage interaction between undergraduate and graduate students;<\/li>\n<li>to provide learning in research techniques and methods;<\/li>\n<li>To broaden access to scientific culture.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research Centers<\/h3>\n<p>A research center is a group composed of university students and supervising professors from an educational institution. These groups aim to foster research projects within specific areas of concentration. If you wish to conduct scientific initiation during your university studies, it is very important to seek information about these centers. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Research Centers<\/span> from your institution of interest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When should you start scientific initiation?<\/h2>\n<p>To participate in scientific initiation programs, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate course. However, there is no specific registration period. At ESEG, scientific initiation is encouraged from the first semester.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ideally, you should have a research focus in mind, establishing what will be investigated in your project and for what purpose.
