Increasingly used, IoT (Internet of Things) aims to improve services and professions in a practical and fast way. It's a resource that connects everyday objects to a network of devices through sensors, software, and chips. But do you know how this impacts us?<\/p>\n

With an increasingly interconnected world, its mission is to make our lives easier in everyday matters, such as robot vacuum cleaners, light bulbs that can turn on, off, or change color by voice command, air conditioners that turn on automatically, and refrigerators that access social networks or automatically create shopping lists when they detect a shortage of certain foods.<\/p>\n

In the field of Engineering, IoT becomes relevant when it combines connectivity with the products and services offered. Previously, we were entirely dependent on operator notes, which could generate what is called 'observation error,' as there is always a probability of making mistakes in data visualization. From the moment we have a connection between the machine and the information system\u2014that is, the machine connected to highly capable sensors that transmit data over the internet\u2014we can have real-time information on the production process and make decisions, such as maintenance, even before the machine breaks down.<\/p>\n

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been studied since 1956 and, initially, was called intelligent agents. Through learning by analyzing databases, AI is a collaborative technology for humans and has grown with the evolution of computers. It was with this technology that machines truly learned to make decisions, to "think" like humans in a logical way.<\/p>\n

Today, AI is used in sales and customer service systems, in studies, to improve products and services in industry and commerce, in healthcare with the evolution of exams and surgeries, and even as a personal assistant. And these are just a few examples; Artificial Intelligence is a rapidly expanding field.<\/p>\n

ESEG has a Research Center and a curriculum based on Artificial Intelligence.<\/h2>\n

With Artificial Intelligence becoming increasingly prevalent, ESEG understands the importance of incorporating technology into the curricula of its courses. Administration<\/a>, Economy<\/a>, Right<\/a>,<\/b> Computer Engineering<\/b><\/a> e Production Engineering<\/strong><\/a>. Furthermore, the institution also offers the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Center for students of all courses.<\/p>\n

The Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics develops real-world projects that allow students to enhance their learning in technology and data science. Furthermore, it aims to serve as a foundation for disseminating the use of new technologies that can positively impact citizens' lives. Through its partnership with the Advanced Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2), the Center participates in conferences and scientific discussions regarding the development of technology applications in various fields.<\/p>\n
