Brazil has gone through a series of legislative reforms and transformations<\/strong> Over the last decade, initiatives have aimed to balance public spending and make the country's economy more stable. These initiatives are known as <\/span>economic reforms<\/b>, They impacted several areas: labor, social security, and tax.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But when we talk about "economic reform," what does it really mean? And what are the consequences?<\/span><\/p>\n

What are economic reforms?<\/b><\/h3>\n

In general, economic reforms<\/strong> These are legislative changes with economic objectives; that is, laws are changed to try, in different ways, to improve the country's economy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Economic reforms involve changes to laws and public policies aimed at modernizing the economy, reducing government costs, and attracting investment. Below, we explore the main reforms carried out in Brazil, as well as details about the most recent tax reform, which promises to significantly alter the country's fiscal landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n

Labor reform (2017): modernization and more jobs<\/b><\/h4>\n

Approved in 2017, the labor reform sought to make labor legislation more flexible in order to adapt to market demands and generate more jobs, especially formal jobs (with signed work contracts).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
