{"id":13873,"date":"2026-04-17T09:24:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T12:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/noticia\/paulo-rubiao-compartilha-pratica-de-financas-corporativas-com-alunos-da-eseg\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T14:35:32","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T17:35:32","slug":"paulo-rubiao-shares-corporate-finance-practices-with-eseg-students","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/en\/noticia\/paulo-rubiao-compartilha-pratica-de-financas-corporativas-com-alunos-da-eseg\/","title":{"rendered":"Paulo Rubi\u00e3o shares corporate finance practices with ESEG students."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Monday (06), the 5th semester students of the Administration and courses <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.eseg.edu.br\/ciencias-economicas-quais-sao-as-areas-de-atuacao\/\" target=\"_blank\">Economic Sciences Department, ESEG Faculty<\/a>, Representatives from Grupo Etapa participated in a special class with Paulo Rubi\u00e3o, CFO of Optima, a German multinational automation systems company.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The lecture was given as part of the Corporate Finance II course, at the invitation of Professor Francisco Barbosa.<\/p>\n<p>With the theme &quot;Corporate Capital Structure and Change with the new Dual VAT,&quot; the meeting focused on bringing students closer to the practice of the financial market, showing how strategic decisions are made in the day-to-day operations of companies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the presentation, Paulo Rubi\u00e3o, CFO of the German multinational Optima, presented case studies and real-world examples, exploring different ways to structure an organization&#039;s capital and the impacts of recent tax changes.<\/p>\n<p>The activity included a presentation of the content and an open discussion with the students, who were able to interact directly with the executive and delve deeper into the topics covered in class.<\/p>\n<p>For the student of <a href=\"http:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/en\/home\/course\/administration\/\" target=\"_blank\">Business Administration course<\/a>, According to Maycon Matuoka, the experience brought a new perspective on academic content.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lecture was very different from what we usually see in the classroom. Paulo went straight to the point, with real examples and situations that any company faces. This shows that financial decisions have many more variables than the book suggests. Hearing this from someone who lives this reality changes the way you see the content,\u201d Maycon points out.<\/p>\n<p>According to Professor Francisco Barbosa, initiatives like this are essential for student training. &quot;The idea is precisely to connect theory with practice, bringing in professionals who experience these challenges daily.
