On February 9th, ESEG College held the Welcome reception for first-semester students of 2026 <\/b>in two meetings focused on integrating new students, one in the morning and the other in the evening. <\/p>\n

O The event marked the beginning of the academic journey and presented the support structure that accompanies students from the first semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

The idea was to welcome the freshmen at the start of their journey and to bring them closer to veterans, exchange students, professors, and institutional staff,<\/b> reinforcing the individualized support that the Faculty offers and the commitment to education that goes beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Training that connects theory, practice, and the market.<\/h4>\n

During the program, the following were presented: Programs and projects that allow students to experience real-world market situations while still in college. <\/b><\/p>\n


<\/b>An example of this are the projects of ESEG Tech & Business program<\/a>, in which students, through leagues, clubs, entrepreneurship hubs, junior enterprises, and various initiatives associated with technology and research, They can have practical and extracurricular experiences. <\/b>which bring them closer to the reality of the market.<\/p>\n

Another highlight was the Global Business Experience<\/a>, one international activity that brings together Brazilian and foreign students<\/b> to analyze real business cases abroad or in Brazil, depending on the host country. <\/p>\n

The initiative encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and working in multicultural environments\u2014skills that are increasingly valued by the professional market.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Internationalization and academic mobility<\/h4>\n

Vanessa Martins, manager of ESEG International \u2013 international office of ESEG College<\/a>, presented the actions aimed at internationalization. <\/p>\n

In addition to academic mobility programs<\/b> which provide opportunities for experiences in countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands, and China, with planned expansion to other destinations, she highlighted the offering of elective courses taught in English, which, this semester, will be taken jointly with exchange students from Belgium.<\/p>\n

ESEG's goal is to immerse students in global experiences from an early age, developing linguistic, cultural, and professional skills. This international experience already has an impact on those who are just starting out. <\/p>\n

Belgian student Hil\u00e1rio Bossi, 19, said he chose ESEG to expand his knowledge in business and entrepreneurship. \u201cI hope to learn not only about the subject, but also about Brazil, its culture, politics, and economy. I am very excited to learn at ESEG,\u201d commented the exchange student.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Structured support: career and relationship with the student.<\/h4>\n

The coordinator of Career Development Center<\/a> Simone Bortoletto, from the Student Support Department, explained how the individualized support offered throughout the course works. The support includes career guidance, assistance in resume building, mock interviews, and continuous feedback.<\/p>\n

According to Simone, the purpose is to help the student understand the possible paths within their chosen field and to assist them with strategies to improve their academic performance. <\/p>\n

With a focus on each student's professional goals, the Support area also collaborates in the development of behavioral skills, contributing to a journey of personal and professional growth for students from their first day at the institution.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The voice of veterans: an inspiring experience.<\/h4>\n

One of the most anticipated moments was the open conversation with senior students, who shared experiences and practical guidance.<\/p>\n

Joan of Arc Alexandrine, of 7th semester of Business Administration <\/b>The current senior analyst at JP Morgan spoke about how extracurricular activities and English classes helped build confidence and professional skills. \u201cFrom the first semester, we are encouraged to participate in activities that add value. I, for example, actively participated in the Junior Enterprise and in the development of a research project with the Human Resources sector, in addition to other initiatives promoted by the Faculty. This makes a difference in experience and networking, which is reflected in our careers,\u201d she highlighted.<\/p>\n

Matheus Oliveira, veteran of 5th semester of Computer Engineering,<\/b> He highlighted how much the college broadened his horizons: \u201cTake advantage of the professors, the Artificial Intelligence and 3D printing labs. I've already done a lot of things I never imagined I could do. You'll realize that here at ESEG you're not just a number, but people treated individually.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Gabrielle Borgatto, a student at 7th semester of Law, <\/b>He recounted his personal and professional growth. <\/i>\u201cI was very shy. The mock interviews helped me develop confidence. I started interning early and built my professional path with the support of ESEG,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The freshmen were able to ask questions directly to the upperclassmen, who talked about the courses, their experiences, and what to expect in this new stage of life, strengthening the atmosphere of exchange and support.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Expectations of those who are arriving.<\/h4>\n

Among the new students, the prevailing feeling was one of enthusiasm and belonging.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Costa de Toledo Piza, freshman in Law,<\/b> He commented on his perception of ESEG since the day of the entrance exam. \u201cThe reception I received from the entrance exam onwards was surprising. It was something I wouldn't have experienced anywhere else. It was clear that the college is different. I already feel like I'm part of this institution,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

For Enzo Oppi, freshman in Economics, <\/b>The presentation of the institution on that first day increased his expectations regarding personal growth and international opportunities. \u201cI see a very human organization here at ESEG, which treats students with care. I am very eager to develop my public speaking skills and take advantage of the international experience to improve my English and thus leave prepared,\u201d, <\/i>he observed.<\/p>\n

Already freshman in Computer Engineering, <\/b>Matheus Nunes Dozza highlighted ESEG's focus on the holistic development of the student: <\/i>\u201c"I realized that the college cares a lot about the students' development not only as professionals, but also as people.".<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A journey that begins with welcoming.<\/h4>\n

During the welcome event, students were also able to learn more about the support services offered by the Library, the ESEG sports teams, and the Athletic Association, broadening their perspective on the university experience.<\/p>\n

The final message reinforced the close relationship between students, teachers, and institutional staff, showing that... Support is always available.<\/b><\/p>\n
