{"id":11886,"date":"2022-12-01T02:00:33","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T05:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/noticia\/materialidades-esg-sao-discutidas-em-palestra-do-mba-em-gestao-de-negocios\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T14:58:56","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T17:58:56","slug":"materialidades-esg-sao-discutidas-em-palestra-do-mba-em-gestao-de-negocios","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/en\/noticia\/materialidades-esg-sao-discutidas-em-palestra-do-mba-em-gestao-de-negocios\/","title":{"rendered":"ESG materialities are discussed in a lecture for the MBA in Business Management."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>ESEG \u2013 Faculdade do Grupo Etapa discussed a hot topic with its postgraduate students.&nbsp;<\/i><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Last Tuesday, May 3, 2022, ESEG \u2013 Faculdade do Grupo Etapa, at the invitation of Professor Melissa Schleich, hosted speaker Cintia Oller Cespedes to talk about &#039;The Importance of Materiality in ESG&#039;.<\/p>\n<p>Students in the MBA in Business Management program understood the general aspects of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), translated as the environmental, social and governance practices of an organization; the sectoral aspects and, lastly, the specific aspects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/legacy-inline-766b6e910bf604fc-1.jpg\" style=\"width: 50%\" data-filename=\"img_73582.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>According to Cintia, &#039;the company needs to look both inward and outward and determine what becomes a priority for it, managing internally and then communicating externally&#039;. Also according to the speaker, ESG is not mandatory, but the market demands it, and materiality \u2013 the hierarchy of the most important themes related to a company&#039;s activities \u2013 helps to know what to communicate and how to carry out actions within the practices.<\/p>\n<p>ESG is a trend that interests companies, as material data has become a subject of questioning by customers, suppliers, investors, the press, society, and even employees, and is often a decisive factor at the time of purchase and choice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eseg.edu.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/legacy-inline-3a547b13d1faa595-1.jpg\" style=\"width: 25%;float: left\" data-filename=\"img_12.jpg\" class=\"note-float-left\">To help in choosing the themes, the 3W Stakeholder Engagement methodology is used: Why, What, and Who.
